    EA has once again made it to the news owing to a security incident. However this time, it wasn’t a result of any cyberattack, rather a site error. As revealed, the EA website suffered a glitch that leaked data of registered players. EA Website Glitch Leaked Gamers’ Data Recently, the Gaming firm Electronic Arts (or EA) suffered a blunder. The official EA website, owing to a technical glitch, exposed details of registered gamers. The matter first surfaced online when new visitors trying to register themselves on the website faced a strange issue. On the registration page of the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series, it was possible to see data of previously registered players. EA launched this website on October 3, 2019. Shortly after its launch, players signing up on the site began witnessing this issue. During registration, they could see the details of players who registered themselves on the site earlier. Allegedly, the leaked details included personal information as well, such as email addresses, Player ID, country of residence and birthday. Here is what one such visitor shared in his tweet.
    Not long after various grievances from clients, EA at long last recognized the glitch. They purportedly brought down the recently made site to avert further issues. 

    Later on, they shared a point by point explanation with respect to the glitch. As uncovered, the site mistakenly uncovered information of enrolled players to the approaching guests. The issue influenced around 1600 players. They further guaranteed amendment of the glitch to keep it from happening again later on.
